The game hadn't had a single update in well over 18 months. One had been promised seemingly forever, originally planned for back in April, but instead only released last week.
As should have been expected (as it has been the case with every update in the several years I've been playing the game), it's full of bugs and not running the way they intended. This is very unfortunate as it happened right in the middle of some seasons, turning those seasons on their head, ******* up some hopes and dreams and expectations.
WIS sent an email to all the users yesterday admitting they fucked up, apologized for it, are working to get the thing running the way they want, and gave eveyone who plays the game a free season for their trouble.
That's not good enough for the fat cats who have been exploiting every flaw in the old game engine and feasting on championships and reward points to the extent that they are running up to a dozen teams without paying a dime for it. The outrage is so extreme it resembles a mob of angry villagers hunting down Frankenstein's monster.
