NHL and WHA hofs are easy for me to research, but I am wondering about the individual franchise ones.
Vancouver Canucks have:
Ring of Honour (Pat Quinn, Orland Kurtenbach, Kirk McLean, Thomas Gradin, Harold Snepsts)
&
retired Jersey #s (Stan Smyl, Markus Naslund, Pavel Bure, Markus Naslund)
(Question #1)
Is any kind of recognition from a franchise enough to ban a player? (e.g., would all of the above 9 players be banned?)
(Some teams don't retire numbers, but they do "honour" them)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(Question #2)
I understand that being in the HHOF blacklists a player from this league, no matter what team
one would want to use them for.
But if a player is in a franchise HOF, does that ban him from being twisted by other franchises?
(e.g., Makus Maslund has had his # retired by the Canucks, but could he still be used by Pittsburgh and NY Rangers?
Thanks!
