If you are using one of the older teams and you just don't have enough players to fill you roster, you can fill in the missing spots with any $200,000 (minimum salary) player/s from either of your teams two years.
The problem is pre-1900 teams had small rosters with pitchers playing in the field on days they weren't on the mound. They didn't use many scrubs.
I would like to use 1889 St Louis pitching and 1898 Boston hitting for a second team. I have drafted every pitcher on the Browns (total of 6) and every eligible hitter on the Beaneaters (total of 12). I am still five players short.
There are no $200K players on either team during those years. There are only three total for any team those two years.
May I use $200K players from those two franchises pre-1900? There are a total of nine to choose from.
