Nolan Ryan is in for 3 different teams!!! Angels, Astros and Rangers. Surely they could have found someone else on the Rangers.

I know this goes mostly to longevity of franchise, but I found it interesting the teams without any recent players. Most "recent" player for a few franchises:

Orioles - Ripken ('01)
A's - Henderson ('03)
Cubs - Sosa ('07)
Pirates - Bonds ('07, but last played for them in '92)

For all the other teams, they at least have one token current player or recent retiree

Though the difference between the two statistically (Yankee years only) is smaller than I would have guessed. Had Arod played his entire career with NY or signed with NY instead of Texas, it would probably be a difficult choice.

The Giants give the Yanks a run for their money when it comes to top 8. Wow. Especially because their two starters (Matthewson and Marichal) are well ahead of the Yanks one starter (Ford).

And it isn't like they are slighting suspected PED users, Palmeiro is on the Rangers list.

Also, Manny Ramirez didn't make the Red Sox list. I don't see how Rice and Evans were better choices than Clemens and Ramirez.

Mark Grace doesn't make it as a Cub (nor should he), but he's on there for the Diamondbacks.

FYI, he wasn't good there.

OK, it's Bonds, Mays, Matthewson.

I suppose the real choice is between Ott, McCovey and Marichal. Hmmm.
