Thanks for answering my questions so quickly. Have it down to a couple of franchises, but go ahead and count me in please!

No, I am fine with it, I just needed it to be clear.
If I run into one of my rookies who is already on my team, then I just start him over again from his rookie year.

Wait - this is a difference maker. Say I take the Braves and bring Greg Maddux back from 2000. When he comes up as a roomie with the Cubs in season 2 (1986), I have to cut him? Or I keep progressing him until season 9 (1993) when he plays for Atlanta in real life? Or roomie Greg Maddux Stu’s with the Cubs and I keep progressing him on the Braves until I cut him or he’s retired?

No, you wouldn't have to cut him, because he dosent come up on YOUR roster, its only if the new and old version "butt heads" so to speak, they come up and are already there, would mess up the time space continuum!!
And he will never "come to" the Braves, because the Cubs keep him his whole career.

I'll take the Pirates.

I'm still not sure I understand whether the Giants can have Bonds while I have him also (starting in 1986).

I'll try this progressive out, let me get the New York Yankees.

Switching to the NY Mets.
Switching it up to the NY Mets, and we're good to go.

Yes, the Giants can bring him back from the 2000 roster, but it wont effect your version.

Not only will you get 1st pick of players from 6 unused teams, but you get to bring forward Clemente/Stargell or Doc Ellis, Nice!

Just a short trip from Yankee stadium to "the Met" They are a powerhouse, guess thats why they are last to pick!@
Bring Forward-Seaver and Nolan Ryan, already have Gooden/Straw, Bring Back Piazza and Rickey Henderson, WOW!

Remember, you can trade, so if your team dosent have enough pitching to bring back or forward, Bring a great hitter and trade him to someone that had not enough big hitters to bring back or forward, the possibilities are endless!!

Oh, before we get too far, was going over my list, and I'm adding something in that I forgot, and wanted to add to my prior progressive but waited too long.

Once you get to the 2000 season, all your "Bring Ahead" players will be gone, and most of your original core as well, and this is a "Time Travel" league that I don't want to turn into a standard progressive, SO, before the 2000 season, you will jump back into the old DeLorean and go back to your teams 1975 season and grab 2 more guys, bring them back and hop right back in and go forward to 2015 and grab 2 guys from there as well, bring them all back to 2000, to help the weakened rosters, again, start them at any point in their career and they will advance 1 year at a time like everyone else.

This is 15 seasons down the road so it shouldn't really affect anyone as to who they take because who knows what will happen by then with trades and whatnot.

What if the guy I want to get in 1975 is still on my roster ?
Do I just cut him and then grab his 1975 version ?
Say the guy I get in 1970 has an 18yr career(1970-1987) - when his 1985 season is to be used, we get to go back to 1975.
Can I choose him from 1975 and start him again from 1970 ?
5/27/2019 3:31 PM
Yes , you wont have to cut him, he will just disappear, and cut clone goes away.
No, when you get to 1985, his rookie season, he starts as a rookie, his 1985 season. And we are pulling from 1970 right now, not 1975. But if you mean before the 2000 season, thats 25 years, he wont be on your roster.

***Right now you are pulling 2 guys from your 1970 roster and 2 from your 2000 roster, starting them in whichever season of theirs you want, and also twisting any two players on your current 1985 roster. ( 6 players not starting in 1985, the rest will all be in the 1985 season)
