Practice Time

Conditioning improves STM, DUR, SPD, TEC
Strength improves DUR, ATH, STR, TEC
Agility improves ELU, SPD, ATH, TEC
Passing improves TEC (maybe QB only)
Pass Routes improves TEC (maybe receivers only)
Hands improves HAN, TEC
Blocking improves BLK, TEC
Tackling improves TKL, TEC
Film Study improves GI, TEC
Kicking improves TEC (maybe K only)
Punting improves TEC (maybe P only)

improvements listed in decreasing order. For example, practicing Conditioning improves STM the most and TEC the least

DUR probably worthless with injuries off

WE probably decoupled from practice time (a function of playing time and position population)

notice every practice minute increases TEC though TEC except for Kicking & Punting is not the biggest beneficiary of practice time

notice Conditioning does not improve ATH

notice Pass Routes does not improve ELU

to improve ATH practice Strength & Agility
to improve SPD practice Conditioning & Agility
to improve DUR practice Conditioning & Strength -- but probably don't bother with injuries off
to improve WE practice is probably no help
to improve STM practice Conditioning
to improve STR practice Strength
to improve BLK practice Blocking
to improve TKL practice Tackling
to improve HAN practice Hands
to improve GI practice Film Study
to improve ELU practice Agility
to improve TEC practice more minutes (and maybe play more minutes?)

anything you don't practice decays

this has been my experience
I just read this and I agree with all of it.

in an effort to run the wishbone i wanted to see if the QB could get to the edge. to me the wishbone is worthless if he cain get to the edge

so for six seasons we ran QB only -- NDB inside, NDB outside, WB inside, and WB outside -- 25% each

we tried some running QBs, we tried converting some RBs. we never threw a pass, and no one carried the ball but the QB. we collected data only when we played people not sims. this was all D1A
YPC
box in box out bone in bone out
1 3.0 2.1 3.1 2.7
2 3.4 2.7 2.9 1.5
3 2.9 3.2 3.2 3.0
4 3.5 2.9 3.2 2.7
5 4.4 3.4 3.4 3.9
6 3.8 3.3 4.2 3.0
7 3.8 season seven box in only all year long
YPC 3.5 2.9 3.3 2.8
box in QB box in RB
8 4.1 4.5
FUM
box in box out bone in bone out
1 4 3 0 0
2 0 1 1 1
3 1 5 3 4
4 2 3 2 2
5 3 2 5 5
6 5 6 8 3
FUM 2.5 3.3 3.2 2.5

the upshot is, in the sim, a WB QB cannot get to the edge. so screw the bone in my opinion, i will prolly never run it again

but i came up with a pretty good offense as a result of all this futzin around

NDB only, RB inside 80%, WR deep 20%, no QB/WR runs, no RB/TE passes, no outside runs. you will need a good P and a good K and when one is a Sr/Jr the other should be a So/Fr. you will need a good passing QB and a good WR. everyone else is a bruiser. you bang em bash em bruise em bust em then you burn em long. it's very oldschool Earl Cambell Christian Okoye

you are welcome to it
In my experience running the Bone only, all run....my teams averaged well over 5 yds a carry (QB running sucks and I never do it)

agreed

but i like my offense to resemble some kind of reality i have seen in my lifetime

even the all-QB-run you could call single wing or something

put the ball in the hands of your best player and let him ramble

too bad the sim won't let him succeed

In this game the Wishbone has ZERO semblance of reality. There is no "option", no pitch, no handoff, no "lead blocker", none of that. The other formations I think a coach can at least "imagine" what is happening, but with the bone, its just 1s and 0s doing their thing in a computer.
