If someone was on IR in season 1, we automatically get the players from our franchise in season 2? That wouldn't be their first WIS season

Ok - I actually found an example. Bob Uecker debuted and had his first WIS stats in 1962 for the Braves. He was "IR" for 1963 then played for the Cardinals in 1964. So by that principle Cardinals would own his rights when he played his first WIS stats game in our league, which was 1964. Does this example help clarify? (and my apologies to any Brave owner who is a huge Bob Uecker fan! - though somewhere there is a Cardinal owner who loves Bob Uecker saying "yessss!).

However if you are a big Dave Roberts fan who debuted with Houston in 1962, the sat out 1963 (IR), but came back to Houston in 1964, Houston would own his rights as the first game played with WIS stats in our league. Kappish?

Question - just for clarification:
What happens to rookies from expansion teams, i.e. SanDiego? When they start in 69, do those rookies belong to the owner of the 93 San Diego team, or are they thrown into the 69/99 draft pool?

If you take 63 Reds eg. you only get players that become rookies for subsequent Reds teams.

If you take 93 San Diego, then you get subsequent Padre team Rookies -- you do not get their 1969 Rookies who would become free agents.
