I am not suggesting my proposal fixes everything. A proposal need not fix everything to be an improvement. If I can get my pick in and go about my day it is better, even if I have to wait for the next round to resume the next day regardless.

Moreover, if an owner disappears for an extended period of time and they come back and find they are the only pick left to make in the round, they can submit their pick and keeper at the same time before they disappear again, thus, in fact, speeding up the turnaround time between rounds after all.

The thing about this cavalcade of excuses is that it focuses solely on the picking member and not on the league as a whole. Yes the draft round will still end that day, but in the interim 23 people who could otherwise go on with their lives get to sit around while a single individual gets repeating blocks of thirty minutes to saunter in and make a pick.

Honestly I've largely given up on the notion that anything with change: be it format, picking, divisions, or anything else. And it's a testament to this format that I will happily continue to play it. But the waterfall of excuses that show up whenever someone proposes anything outside the norm is tiresome.
