In the $110M league, I have only given up 18 runs in 6 games but I am not going to win many games when I can't score runs. I have scored 7 runs in 6 games and been shut out 3 times. I submitted the worse offensive team for this round as I wanted more offense if I made the second round. But, I should have balanced it out a little better. I knew it was going to be a low scoring team but I didn't envision everyone hitting below the Mendoza line either. I don't need a lot of runs but I need a few more than what I am getting.
I submitted my better offensive team (or so I thought). Through the 1st 5 games we scored only 8 runs and had given up 27. The PM2 we opened up a little and win 6-5

This is one of the things that I love and hate about WIS baseball, but is magnified in thie WIS championship. After about 30 games, the bottom 3rd overall usually gives up. They stop adjusting their lineups. If your in the top 30 or so it beneficial.

And one of the leagues is a Platoon league this year that fatigue is a huge factor. And if you are not adjusting your team regularly it will effect the entire league a lot.

Not complaining. Just pointing out what we all know.

I guess it's good I'm stubborn and never consider myself out of it until game 162

So my biggest question to the top 24 veterans, do they fight to the end even when they know there is no hope doing really well.

Every win matters. If you have 5 solid teams and one team on pace for 60 wins, there could be a big difference for you in the final standings between that team finishing with 60 wins or 65.

Finally had my first winning cycle in the PM2 set. After 2-4, 2-4, 3-3, and 3-3 we had a glorious 5-1 - with my variable cap team getting their 1st win of the tourney.
Sounds like a similar story to me. 3-3, 3-3, 1-5, 3-3, 3-3 and finally 4-2. With my variable team getting its 1st win to move to 1-5.

2-4, all 1-run losses, all blown saves...

What the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkk

3-11 in one run games through the first two days. Not sure how to interpret that. Will the trend even out or continue?

Silver King took his teammates to dinner because they've mad only 1 error in his 4 starts. "Don't listen to those naysayers".

1-8 in games decided in the 9th or extra innings. Can't help but feel like I am constantly getting screwwwwwed.

$80M team finally posed for a win and of course, Dave Collins and his 3 HR in 600+ PA, takes Jeremy Fikac (170 HR/9+) deep for a walkoff 3-run HR at the Polo Grounds (-1/-1 HR).

Pretty sure I have more losing cycles already as I had the entire first round last year. . . and I'm only slightly exaggerating.

6 3-3 cycles out of 8. My $80M team looks like it's dead in the water already. And there aren't even any fatigue issues...

2nd schwarze of the tournament...this time to get back above .500

I've got 2 teams that are probably over performing and 2 teams underperforming. Things should start to even out before too long.
