Yeah, I'm kinda surprised Geisel was still available (Mariners 1985, pretty classic modern < $250K mop-up). Shows how little our colleagues are procrastinating about odd franchises. FWIW, there was a nice fall-back for the McCraw combination, actually a better hitter for under $400K, so....

Sorry if too chatty, but Plummer is a cool pick. One of the really "famous" second stringers... the backup catcher for Johnny Bench for years, IIRC. A regular Earl Morrall.

I appreciate the commentary AW, it keeps things more interesting.  I mean, if you told your friends you were in a baseball draft lasting over 25 days, they would think you're bonkers...beyond Dungeons and Dragons bonkers...
