This draft is going so well, I think I am going to start ON THE CLOCK drafting in the 3rd round.  I'll decide on the day when we get near the end of the 2nd.

Once we go "on the clock", your turn will be skipped if you don't pick by the end of your half hour time slot.

Amerk - the only issue is that this East Coast snow/ice storm has cut power for a large part of NC and is headed north.  Putting the clock on may hurt a number of owners.

Tgat's an excellent point that I didn't consider.  We'll see how things look in a day or two, both weather wise and how far along we are.

skipped means pick as soon as you're able after your time slot has come and gone

also other owners cannot pick until their time slot if there is a missed pick

skipped means pick as soon as you're able after your time slot has come and gone

That is what I would think too, but I'd like amerk1180 to confirm that is what he means.

Lets confirm with amerk but, yes, typically skipped means that once the person's time slot comes and goes, the next guy can pick (and any others once their slot time comes) but the person who misses their slot can jump in at any time to make his/her pick.

That's the only way I've ever seen it done, you can't punish the person for missing their time slot so once it comes and goes they are free to pick whenever. It kinda sucks sometimes cause you think you know who you're picking and then someone who missed comes in right before you're able to pick and snags what you thought was gonna be your guy. Lol. I usually cuss and kick things kinda like what happens when people take Kelly and Ford right before you!!!!!!!
