What exactly do you think he f*cked-up there? We you there 25 or 30 years ago? Was it better or worse than now? That's how we measure, right? I know many people who in the past wouldn't visit AC if you paid them because it was a sheit-hole, who go frequently now. Care to share your actual experiences with the City so I can pass them along, or are you just spouting Clintonisms about something you truly really know nothing?
I grew up within an hour from the city. I'm in my mid/late 40s, so I was there at the time. When all that was happening. Trump rolled in there taking over this casino and that, made a lot of big and very public plans, and when he just couldn't get it done (probably because he never really did a lot of hands on planning and didn't know what he was doing), he declared bankruptcy. All those local construction companies (beside's Scarfo's I imagine. I bet he got paid) got screwed. These were companies that had one big shot at a few projects. Mom and pops. And he ran his businesses into the ground and they got pennies on the dollar.
Trump promised those casinos would create jobs. AC City council was worried. He leaned on them and they took the plunge. And he blew it all up. Thats why AC is STILL a shithole.
All this was in the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Daily News at the time. Everyone knew what that guy was doing.
You can read up on the historu of what he did here -
