I need to know if this is valid:
Using 2011 Tigers Max Sherzer (already drafted) & twisting to 2013 Max Sherzer-$$7908739
5/3/2017 10:25 AM
charliembg drafted '11 Scherzer in round 2 and he is allowed to twist him to 2013 Scherzer (since the 2013 Tigers are not one of the originally nominated teams). This is basically what the "twist" concept is. This is the reason that guys like '86 Seaver, '54 Newhouser & '90 Norris were early first round picks.

Since I drafted the 1986 Red's who Seaver played with but the twist would put me in the NL (Mets) is that a legal draft?

Yes you can use any of Seaver's Mets seasons

But Charlie drafted Seaver from the 1986 squad. It is his property and he will be allowed to twist him.

Twist-1973 to NYM Tom Seaver from the 1986 Boston Red Sox's (Chosen team );Tom's Salary with Mets=$10,246,029

what does this count as??

His salary when drafted is what is being used for the draft order.
After the owner twists Seaver he must be able to keep him under the salary cap.

Ruling please, otherwise, since i drafted the 2015 Kershaw, can I twist to any other year he played?

sohio4ever... you didn't draft 86 Seaver (from the Red Sox, not Reds), charliembg did. But yes - he can twist to an NL team (as long as nobody in the NL draft selected that team). It's stated in the rules.

ok-what about the kershaw twist?
5/3/2017 11:09 AM
The person who drafted '15 Kershaw drafted him #1 overall. If he chooses to do so, he could twist him to any year but 2013 since the 2013 Dodgers were one of the original 24 nominated teams. His 2015 salary counts toward the draft order, but his actual salary (if twisted) is what counts against the cap.

Sorry for the stupid questions-I understand now

select Dazzy Trout 1946 Tigers- $7,978,836

I did just notice that you selected the 86 Red Sox as one of your two nominated teams. Note that after round 10, when everybody gets to select one more player from one of his two teams to twist, that you cannot select a player that's been drafted. So you won't be able to take Seaver, since he was drafted by charliembg.
