However, then he took Hinrich whom he could have gotten later, so I'm not as high on it as I would have been otherwise.
Why does everyone hate an 80 defender who plays 35 mins, has a decent efg, and makes 140 3s at under $6.5M?? Valid question.. I don't get it.. I know he isn't 'great' by any stretch of the imagination, but, damn- who the hell else available that late, plays that good of D, makes that many 3s, is able to play D at both G spots, has low TOs, with a fairly low salary? I might actually end up using the 16 min version (teamed with a player (good D & efg) who used to get drafted before the new guys) - to save even more salary, and yes, you can say drafting that guy in the 5th is a reach.. But so would have drafting K O'Quinn there, right? In your commentary, which I enjoy, you often insinuate that owners made a mistake with there 4th & 5th picks, "bc they would have been there later"- many of those time, that is highly debatable- Example: you said it with J Terry, and I drafted him later than when he was selected in ODL 64.. Anyway, I think a better point is that this is the ODL, not the $52M league... It's hard to say any player that fits your team is a 'reach' in the 4th or later. Salary is so important, that drafting cheaper guys sooner or later is a must- which can be viewed as reaching... But really isn't... I enjoy the commentary... But I read the 'reaching' thing so much, that I just couldn't not say something about it...
