I believe it is kind of foolish to claim you are a cop in the forum, unless you are mafia.  As a townsperson claiming COP, you are just confusing people on who to trust.  In all truth, the COP is ther person that wins or loses this game.  Because this person knows 100 % who to trust. 

So from the above statement, you are either confusing everyone on who to trust(counter productive) or you are mafia(a good excuse to confuse everyone)
I didn't claim cop in the forum. I said I am, or am not the cop. And again, its a tactile decision to throw the scent away from the real cop. You just said it yourself, the cop either wins or loses the game for all. Protection of him should be all townies top priority. Or am I mistaken??? You and pola started the confusion today. I added to it to throw one or both of you off the scent of the cop.
