Or I just tired of arguing with you over what I said.

Here's the thing. Give me 20 AB against Kluber. I'm not delusional enough to think I'll get a hit. But I might foul a few off. He might miss the strike zone a couple of times. Suddenly, I've got a walk. yay me

To borrow a genius example I heard recently, give me 20 PA against Kluber. I'm not delusional enough to think I can make hard contact but I might sneak a grounder through a hole for a single. Yay me.
Do you think there is more skilled involved in getting a hit or taking a walk?

I think, for either one of us against Kluber, both outcomes are equally as likely.

Not answering the question.

More skill involved in getting a hit or taking a walk?

I mean, if you're pretending you can get a walk 5% of the time against Kluber when he only walks major league hitters 6% of the time, I figure you don't actually want to have a serious conversation.

The question, please answer. Substitute some 39 y/o has been for Kluber if it makes you feel better.

Apparently, defenders of cokeheads have poor reading comprehension. I was just asking, ARE THERE ANY ADMITTED COKEHEADS IN THE HOF?

Because it appears that they might be perceived differently than their comparably performing peers.

The question is irrelevant. We know it's incredibly difficult to maintain a high walk rate in the major league.

No it isn't. It's a very simple question. Answer it.

If you don't want to answer because it explains why I'm not as enamored with walks as you are, that's fine.

LOL @ PSBL. Painted himself in corner, doesn't know how to get out.

No one has ever denied that a single is more valuable than a walk. The part you're missing is that walks are also valuable.

Sure. Getting on base is better than getting out.

But, if you would, humor me, does it take more skill to get a hit or take a walk?

Just so you don't start twisting words, do you agree that I never said "Martinez walked too much. He should have made more outs"?

Your exact words were "Martinez walked a great deal. Bad."

If walking is so easy, why don't more major leaguers have high walk rates?

A hitter who can walk 15% of the time can probably find a spot on any roster. You'd think guys barely hanging on would just take more walks and lock down a job somewhere.
