i'd rather people get up in arms about the +2 for over 50 yard gains
The rationale was that it'd even the playing field between spread offenses and standard. QB's who rely on dink and dunk passes are less likely to receive that bonus. It also  discourages touchdown vultures and encourages traditional running backs.

But like I said, it's open to discussion.
i guess i see where you are coming from, just feels like a very artificial way to try to level the playing field, when it doesnt inherently need to be levelled, let the game be what it is and people can strategize their drafts accordingly

It's not like big play bonuses are a new concept.

its also not like they've ever had a strong rationale behind them, unless you were in a league that didnt give points for yards.

It's fantasy sports, it's all been made up as we go along.  There is no "strong rationale" for any of it.

These exchanges were better when VD had use of the gas face - only because they were much shorter.

My rationale for them is my opinion that a scoring play of 55 yards should be worth more than if a guy racks up 55 yards on a drive and then scores from the 1.

completely subjective, especially when many of the 50+ yard plays result in TDs anyway
