This sounds like a ton of fun. But it looks like you're full. Let me know.
polymerguy: actually, you are owner #24, and here are six pages for you:

1. Red Sox @ Orioles, 4/26/2007
2. * 3B Jesse Purnell 1904
3. Rustlers @ Reds, 6/2/1911 - yes, the Boston NL club was called the Rustlers that year!
4. OF Johnny Frederick 1929-34
5. Indians @ Rangers 4/28/1979
6. 2003 Cincinnati Reds statistics - all players eligible

That's the link to the boxscore you're missing. I think the BR.com search engine may not locate it, but it's on the site.

After 7 tries I think I have a team under the cap - it's ugly and I cried leaving 2001 Bonds on the table...but this is it:

The April 28th game in 1979 did not feature Indians at Rangers. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/?month=4&day=28&year=1979
Please let me know if maybe there's a wrong team given to me.

Also, just so I understand, I can replace Purnell with Mr. Sadowski, but I still need to choose 3 of Purnell's team-mates right? Also, do you mean Ed Sadowski from 1961 who was a catcher OR Bob Sadowski from 1963 who could play 3rd base like Purnell could?

I'm guessing tdoak meant Indians @ Royals on that date. The Rangers were on the road playing the White Sox, and none of the easy typos for the date have that matchup.

What has happened in the past is draft-your-own AAA, but only players to replace your non-sim roster spots. I'd assume that's where we are again.

IF I've done everything correct and assumed correct based on some of the questions I've asked above, I've got a LOADED hitting team. Just not much sweet pitching in my pages, but that's how it goes! This should be fun. Once I get confirmation on all my questions, I'll post my choices so you guys can check to make sure I'm good to go.

Put me in!
Jolene: you are in! Here's your spin of the wheel:

1. 1984 Chicago Cubs trades & transactions (You may take any four players listed on this page, their 1984 season, whether they played with the Cubs or moved to another team, or even spent the season in the minors!)
2. 1988 Chicago White Sox trades & transactions (that was weird!)
3. Phillies @ Pirates 7/12/1924 2nd game of doubleheader
4. Phillies @ Expos 4/22/1985
5. Blue Jays @ Mariners 6/1/1979
6. P Eddie Higgins 1909-10

I was in Chicago today, the random generator must be tracing me ??
1. Scott Sanderson Rick Sutcliffe Gary Lucas Dennis Eckersley
2. Mike Diaz Donnie Hill Gary Redus Dave LaPoint
3. Pie Traynor Kiki Cuyler Earl Smith Emil Yde
4. Tim Raines Joe Hesketh Don Carman Tim Burke

Very difficult to fit these into the cap but we will see. Using so many players I never used before. Very low HR hitting team. Lots of platoon type pitchers in the 140-160 innings range. Should be interesting if nothing else :)
