BU catchers have to be ready to catch in an emergency.   SS play every day.   Therefore, RP can stay out drinking when everyone else has to go home.

With my Florida Panhandlers team, I laugh a little every season when a prospect tells me "I'm really excited to begin my career as a Panhandler". Are there any little things like this that make the game a tiny bit more entertaining for MikeT23?

Some of the names are funny.    I believe my "wiped from the face of the earth" Las Vegas team was named Pit Boss so I liked the same message you got.   The Ferrignos/Fighting Artichokes/Drinking McHitters were fun like that.   And I like to see the really weird players.   I billed Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Angel Hernandez as "The Most Interesting Man in the World" during his entire stay with my team.

Well, I bought Madden the year they drafted McFadden because I liked him so much.  However, after being inactive so often, it was time for change.   Hopefully TR got a wake up call and wants to finish his career properly.  Nonetheless, the Raiders are in a Catch-22 situation.   None of the top FA want to come there because they have been losers for so long, therefore, they remain losers because the only FA that sign with them are has beens or never beens.

In mauer I have two starting pitchers in the mid 80s for stamina and three SPs in the mid 60s. I have them set up as so for pitch counts -

Pitcher 1 Sta 84 TPC 95  MPC 110
Pitcher 2 Sta 86 TPC 110 MPC 130
Pitcher 3 Sta 64 TPC 80  MPC 90
Pitcher 4 Sta 63 TPC 80  MPC 95
Pitcher 5 Sta 65 TPC 85  MPC 100

I'm wondering is I am being too conservative with pitchers 3 - 5. They are getting 5 innings or so of work early on. Can those throw 100 pitches?

I've heard about them but never seen them, what does a rotation need to be a 4 man rather then a 5 man? (Obviously I know stamina and Durability, but what would be your minimum numbers for all 4 to make it happen?)

It all centers on PC but, if you want an effective 4 man that won't stress your bullpen every day, I'd look for 30+ DUR and 70+ STM.    They should be able to throw around 70-75 pitches, which is 5-6 innings depending on their effectiveness, every 4th day.   Ideally, a couple of them are 90+ STM so they can go 7-8 innings.

Yes.  Ponder will never play.  His wife is good looking and pretties up the CFB pre-game set.  Being rid of Schaub is also a plus.

You're probably going to have to reduce that 19/64 if you want him ready every fifth day.   26/63 looks about right.   34/65 can handle more.

If a guy has a 7-day injury and his ratings don't go down at all, will he still get the 60-day DL ratings bump? I think when I've done that in the past they don't get the bumps, but maybe I'm remembering incorrectly.

Depends on the injury.  If nothing else, you should get DUR/HLTH bumps.

That is not a question but back problems are good for hitting ratings.   Since he's a minor leaguer nearing the end of his expected development, there's no reason to NOT put him on the 60.

Breaking protocol, I'd like to pre-pat myself on the back.   UCLA wins and, because of upset, gets 14 seed UAB.   Yay me.
