2 picks left ....
ok i do have a ? ..so if i end up in the same division as say whitey ford who is 1950 i have mantle 51 does that mean one team in thr division can draft a 1950 player and anothrr team in the division can draft the same player but a 1951 version or Not ?
I actually don't think it matters what division the Ford is in. He's not available as a player anywhere else in the league, and neither is Mantle. You have the only Mantle period.
I think the question is aimed more at someone like Yogi Berra who may not be a selection in this HOF draft. . . .in that case I think that YES one person could draft 50 Berra and someone else could take 51 Berra (and since the rules say no clones, the same team could not draft both versions of Berra).
Ah, I understand what you're saying. I would even say by the way the rules read that since each divisional draft is unique and only the HOFers in the league are unavailable, that it could be possible for two versions of 50 Berra to be drafted in two different divisions. The only players who can't be taken are the HOFers, so anyone else is on the table regardless of season.

I sure hope the next phase goes faster than this one.
Since we can't start scouting our divisional draft pool early, I wouldn't count on it. We can get to know our own two players' teammates, but that's it. Studying the other 6 rosters and ranking your choices won't happen instantly.

Yes i meant anyone not hof picked like yogi . Or if someone takes a player does that eliminate them like only one version per division Non hof . I mean . Because i think we just need it clear . Either way is acceptable

NebHusker is correct. If 2 different versions of the same player end up in the same division they can be drafted by different teams. So, using your example of Yogi Berra, the 1950 version can be taken by 1 team and the 1951 Yogi can be taken by another team. If both versions are available it will be up to you which version to take, if you want him. Of course if he ends up in different divisions then both versions are available that way too.

Now what ... randon division alignments ?
6/15/2017 12:46 PM
I believe so, yes. Then we determine each division draft order by salary total. And then we'll each have a thread for our division draft.
