" So he went 0-1 in the first inning. You tell me what that tells you. "
He reached on an error. That tells me he WASNT OUT.
If you're looking at a boxscore, do you know this?

Is there a statsheet that tracks "reached on error"?
ANSWER THE QUESTION!?!?!??!?!
Suck my dick. Whether or not it’s in the boxscore is irrelevant. It’s still tracked.
Offer declined!!!

So, you need more than stats to tell you what happened?
Pretty sure ROE is s stat.

Not in a boxscore.

So tell us...where do you get your stats so you can avoid watching games? Link, please.

Bill James shows up at his house.

Who avoids watching games?

"I don't have to watch the games. I have the stats."

That's actually pretty cool.

Unless Bill James is one on those pretentious pricks who says "I don't need to watch games. I have stats" or something like that.

Yeah, in the context of, “you wouldn’t know how good this guy was 40 years ago unless you saw him pitch.”

Which is horseshit. We know how good he was based on his stats.

Do you really want to remind people about your Brad Radke / Catfish Hunter comparison again?

In 2057, will your stat book tell you what happened in the 1st inning of game 7 in the 2017 WS?

Sure. Seems like you desperately want to talk about something other than “an out is an out.”

Hunter was better than Radke, but not by a whole lot. Hunter wasn’t that good. Certainly not good enough to be a hall of famer. There are literally dozens of better pitchers outside the hall. Schilling, Mussina, Kevin Brown, David Cone, to name a few.

LOL. Looks like you're the one trying to divert away from "an out is an out".

BL???? Or are you consulting Bill James before responding?

Nope. We can talk about that too. Bregman wasn’t out.

He hit a ground ball to the right side of the infield. Do you think he was intentially trying to ground out to second, but failed?
