I can't seem to find the answer and how it relates to my current situation. 

 Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Rocco Greenberg

Not sure how much everyone can read on Rocco, but I'm trying to decide when to offer him the long term contract. He was arb eligible for the first time last season I believe as he has ML years of 4. Do I extend him now because he will get mad if I wait until next year. Or can I wait until next year and give him his big deal.

You can arb him one more time then offer LT.

Is there any reason whatsoever to NOT offer a Mutual option for every LT contract? I know some players may not accept it, but the goal should be to make sure EVERY LT contract has it if you can help it correct?

Because the player might reject it.   If I have a guy that I think is the cornerstone of my franchise, I don't want him opting out.

So beyond an elite player, could it be said that a majority of BL LT contracts should have that mutual option?

A quick check of my teams indicate that 2-5 players per season have mutual options.   I feel I use them rather liberally.   It works for me.
