Has anyone seen better than this?

41-5 at home, about 90 games into the season.

Has any thread of this type ever turned out like the OP likely hoped?

All those players and still no WS ring, that must be hard to swallow.

If your record is that lopsided, it's nothing to brag about. It either means that you spent 3-4 seasons losing 100+ games and racking up superstar prospects, or the rest of your world is incompetent. Most likely some combination of the two.

But to answer your question, yes, I've seen better. This team (certainly not mine) currently has a home record of 60-5:

Of course, the other problem with a team that has a record like that is that it's going to make it a lot tougher to fill the world at rollover. When people are looking for worlds and they see a team that wins 120+ games every year, most of them are going to look for a more competitive world.

I might not be the most experienced owner, but I was in a world for one season that had the same WS winner five straight seasons, and four of those were the same runner up. I was one and done. So I know what arctic legend is talking about.

Not always. Long Haul had a team win 4 in a row, 5 of 6, and 6 of 9 and we didn't have any trouble filling.

1. Yes it was a merged world which actually should make it more difficult to have a great record as typically only the top teams survive.

2. The team has won a world series just not since the merge, there are some other elite teams that as we all know when it comes to playoffs its a coin toss. The team is also starting to age and will not be a 120win team forever. I'm at the crossroads where salaries are huge and its getting more difficult to resign everyone as each season goes by.

3. The other world is not a tank job, I took over the team after an owner disappeared during the free agent process. I have often helped out other worlds when in this scenario and I do my best to make the team appealing for the next owner (Rid team of future salaries, and acquire prospects).

This is a very nice team as well. 60-5 is unbelievable.

"Nice" is the word I'd use for it. The owner of that team spent about 5 seasons tanking, and he had a top 3 draft pick four years in a row. I believe he had 4 seasons of 115+ losses in a row.

That kind of tactic really ruins a world. This world always has trouble filing quickly - I think there was about a 2 month wait last summer - and now that this team is going to win 140 games, the only people who will ever want to join next season are new players who don't know better, oblivious people who won't think to check the standings, and other schemers who plan to pull the same tanking plan.
