Joss and Alexander are top 2 in my opinion.  Pedro and Maddux seem to get hit around a lot more at the higher caps, especially Pedro and his ridiculous HR/9 treatment.
Pedro's "ridiculous HR/9 treatment" seems pretty right to me.  His HR/H is higher than league average, so as he gives up hits he's going to give up HRs.  The only reason his HR/9+ is over 100 is because his hit rate is so low.  The engine doesn't care about HR/9 or HR/9+, only HR/H.

The "ridiculous" part is playing in higher caps, and he gets crushed by Ruth, Mantle, Gehrig, Williams, over and over again.....that is all I meant.  Joss and Alexander can keep the ball in the park at pretty much any cap, which is why I have had better luck with both of them.

I've NEVER used Alexander. He doesn't even show up in search results at $255mil for me. Not sure why. And looking at league ERAs he doesn't seem all that hot anyway.

To each their own.  Last team I had that won 105 games, Pete was 29-7, ERA was around 4.00....but the cap was 180.

I'm not sure I'd use Alexander at $255 million, but for the $120-$160 million range he's one of the best.  He also all-but-single-handedly won an OL for me last year.

Yep.  When you get to a cap that high, WHO can you rely on?  I think all the same guys still apply (Joss, Alexander, Walter, etc) but you just need more of them.  Nobody really pitches well at that cap anyway.  All about out-crushing the other guy.

Pedro 2000 went 22-0 regular season and 4-1 in the playoffs to win my first championship (also won Cy Young).  Granted it was a progressive but still, pretty impressive numbers...

Alexander can suck my nutsack.  Joss is doing well for me in 3 leagues right now, but traditionally underperforms on my teams.  Maddux is the most sure thing to me, though I admittedly haven't used Pedro all that much.

You win the coveted 'Biggest Douche Bag in the Universe' award for the rest of your life.  Congrats!

What part of the post did you not get?  What pitcher can be relied on to be super duper awesome at a 255 million dollar cap?  Everyone has Lajoie, Cobb, Ruth, Ted, blah blah blah....everyone gets smacked around.  Boogerlips....you tool.
