A word of advice from someone who likes to build teams - but not ones that tax my poorly developed brain.
Build the $100M team first!
It's a real bear to try and make it all work.
I didn't think it was that hard to build a team. If you copy/paste the player grid into a spreadsheet, each time you add a player to you roster, simply highlight the row and column that corresponds to that player. As you add more players, it makes it very easy to see which players are still available to you.
The problem isn't building a legal team... the problem is trying to build one that doesn't suck while remaining compliant with the theme rules. I'm still trying to build a team with a functioning bench and bullpen...
Overall commentary on theme difficulty (i.e. how difficult it is to build a good team)
There's one theme that's pretty easy (plug and play) - the $80M one.
The $110M and $140M do present a bit of a jigsaw puzzle challenge - but all in all, it shouldn't be too difficult to build reasonably good teams here.
The $70M will require some research, but once you find the right team this one isn't too bad.
The $120M is rather challenging in that not only is there a serious jigsaw element, there's also the real risk that you wind up significantly under the salary cap or that you wind up with huge amounts of wasted salary. This one is difficult, but eventually I got to a team I was happy with.
And then there's the box theme ($100M). I've had multiple runs at trying to build a team with a functioning bullpen and without tons of wasted salary on bench players without success. Oh well, I've got 3-4 weeks to figure this one out lol. At least all the other teams are built.
