was thinking the same thing.... maybe would have guessed 2 CGs if pressed.
Remember growing up with guys like Lolich, Gaylord Perry, & Jenkins routinely completing 23-28+ games each year. It was so usual for a pitcher to finish what they started. As recently as 1972, Carlton completed 30 of his starts.

What am I missing here... bbref.com shows 19 pitchers with CGs, 14 with Shutouts. But along the lines of those earlier comments, 159 different pitchers had complete games in 1983.
