Habsfan1 Memorial Live Tournament
6 leagues, prize money, gift-certificate required

Anyone want to see whether Live can be given a boost with a 6-league tournament? We'd stagger the starts so at most 3 would be running at a time. Players would have to purchase a $15 gift certificate before we start, to be refunded if Live minimums are met in at least 5 leagues or added to a prize fund if Live minimums are not met or an owner drops out. Continued participation even if an owner is out of the tournament will be encouraged by smaller prizes to win each league, and by the potential forfeit of $15 the GC. The league-founder credit for each of the 6 leagues will also be donated. I have asked support what they would kick in, given that the GC should ensure most owners stick around for all 6.

I hope to bring back a few former Live regulars and get some non-progressive options back. Given my current spot in the rankings between spoorts and habsfan1, several of the leagues would be among habsfan1's best. Depending on how many games the Cleveland Spiders win in the near future, I'm closing in on the top Live ranking — only because I've lost a shitload of games. This would be a fun way to get there.

Two definites would be his 40-year-franchise league and USA Federation (originated by ox). One would be a draft league using the online draft tool done at a snail's pace while the first 5 leagues are going to minimize missed picks. The other three leagues could be chosen by vote, though those heavy on luck would be rejected given that there would be prize money on the line.

All leagues would have 30-game Live minimum. There will be a bonus in the accumulated standings for teams exceeding 40, 50, or 60 games in a league. Prize standings would be determined by total wins in five of the six leagues, tossing out each owner's lowest total so one bad season isn't a killer.

40-year Franchise League

Online Draft League
- Draft 10 am-10 pm ET with 60-minute set slots per pick. So 2 picks/day, or 50 days in all for the draft.
- Theme negotiable. Possibly a blacklist league eliminating 100 or so of the most-used players.
- Owners will be required to have this team entered immediately after we have 16 or 24 committed owners with GCs purchased.

The floor is open to ideas for the remaining three leagues. Bonus points for suggestions of habsfan1's themes or other old-time live players' games (bilfert, et al).

USA BASEBALL FEDERATION
Standings are based on goals attained in addition to wins and losses on the field. 20 bonus wins per met goal. All teams go to $100M for playoffs via waiver wire additions eligible to play starting with Game 158. This league requires a whole different level of strategy and heavily favors micromanagement to maximize wins while meeting goals. Franchises will be chosen by a draft in opposite order from the order for the online draft league.

You can put me down josh, WIS needs to run some sort of promotion to get owners to try live again, maybe like 99¢ 54 game short seasons where you must play 15-20 live games to win a free team or something. Not really good timing though, maybe around World Series or even the start of the playoffs would be best.
