I don't know what conclusions you can take from the above numbers since they are inundated in the free season promotion. A lot of that D3 pool in Wooden is sitting there ghost-shipping. The big question is how much of that D3 action remains part of the game when it has to become a part of the paying customer base. If the game retains it, then great. If not, then this has been an experiment in idiocy rejected both by the users who have anchored the game for years and by the "new interest" that it was redesigned to garner.

I seriously doubt WIS did any sort of focus group study to see what both their current users and non-playing target customer demographic base wanted before seble just started idly screwing with things because someone decided change was needed.

well, you can't take much from the d3 numbers, but you can take plenty from at least the d1 numbers, right? d1 was horribly broken in the old version, that was the primary complaint. if d1 pop got a lot worse, that is a pretty clear sign...

actually this one is probably better - that above is like shortly after the new game. this is back in feb of 2016 before the new game, when i was shocked by how far pop had fallen. i suppose if the downward slope was taking into account, pop today would be a lot lower. would be interesting to see the graphs to see if the rate of player loss has improved or gotten worse?

DI dropoff should have been expected. A concentration of long time customers, who generally liked the game. Big changes lose some of those customers - how many depends on the changes and the way they are introduced, but some loss would be inevitable - either customers leave or reduce number of teams they play.

Add to it the fact that a number of the changes reduce the benefits of being an elite program - in various ways - and one can argue about how much - but clearly some.

Loss of DI veterans to be expected. Whether long term added customers offset remains to be seen.

Wow. Pretty much took the words out of my mouth.

Not really. New users don't sign up as D1. Long-time users didn't like the change and left. D1 numbers show that. Nothing more, nothing less.

You cannot make anything out of D1 numbers right now. It's all about increases in D3 and whether people stick around. New players got to start somewhere.

Stick around and possibly take more teams. My guess is that many of the established veterans that despised the change had more than 1 team.

I've gone down to 1 team and am dropping it even with 4 seasons left after this current season.

Don't see the point of wasting time until they fix the game.

See, snafu4u? I can respect someone who hates the game and actually quits. Sticking around to play a game you hate because you have credits makes no sense to me.

I'm starting my 3rd season in D3 Phelan and I'm hooked already. Planning on adding a second team very soon. I realize I have no basis for comparison to the old version of the game, but just wanted to offer a new user's perspective. There are some of us out there that really like the new product and are excited for the chance to move up the ranks.

Awesome! Welcome slayter!

Just curious - how'd you hear about the game?
