Who are the best players that you've ever had in any world, any team, any division.

Not your best ratings wise. I want to know who were the guys that you were sad to lose because their game was just so good overall and you actually felt engaged more in this game just through having them on your squad. Post links, choose 2 or 3 guys.

Lets get nostalgic.

Hoops Dynasty – College Basketball Sim Games - Stanley Garner - Ratings - Knight

This guy was so clutch and shot the lights out. Carried me all the way to the elite eight back in a time when I was the only team in a conference located in a poor region. I loved waking up to see how his game line would go. I never felt out of a game when he was a junior and senior.

I don't think I'll ever have another player average 7.5 3PM/PG

His senior season was special. Elite Eight, Player of the Year in the nation.

Bruce Macon - Ashland - Tark

Bruce Macon was a really special player for me. He won National Player of the Year twice and led my team to an Elite Eight (my first). More important, he helped build the program, taking Ashland's prestige from a C to an A+ in his 4 years. Graduated as the school's all-time leading scorer while also being 7th in assists.

He probably doesn't have as many accolades as many of the other guys that will be posted here, but Sylvester Clement was the first guy I recruited that made me go "wow, he's actually going to be as good as some of the guys I see on the top teams". He helped me get to my first sweet 16 and was by far the best 2.0 recruit I landed. That'll change quite a bit with 3.0 recruiting and some of the studs I'm getting now, but this guy was definitely a springboard for the success I'm having today.

Leonard never blew me away with his attributes -- 40 LP and 41 PER, which is bad even at D2 -- but he was always a scoring machine. I suspect his high ATH and SPD helped. At the time he showed up, I was still a very new coach, so I leaned on him a lot. He averaged 17 ppg his junior and senior seasons, by far the highest on that team. As a junior, he was 1st Team All- Conference. As a senior, he was Conference Player of the Year and a 3rd Team All-American. He finished ninth in scoring and fourth in steals at Erskine.

We still text occasionally. He's currently coaching high school basketball in South Carolina.

Hoops Dynasty – College Basketball Sim Games - Kenneth Poteat - Stats - Wooden

Kenneth Poteat was the first guy I recruited in my first season at RUN and second season overall. I thought he was just the greatest player ever because he scored so much. Looking back on him now, he was not even that good ratings wise and stats wise, he had a terrible fg%, terrible ast/TO ratio and fouled a ton but at the time I thought he was a beast. Even though he is not, I still consider him to be the best guard I have ever had.

Lynn Lee was my favorite player. He didn't do much besides scoring and play D but he was super efficient.

18.5 pts on 61.5% shooting in only 14mpg.

My two favorite players will be Houle and Streeter on Wever

Here's an example of a guy few people would have wanted out of high school. His senior year was worth waiting for.

Can't find ratings because it was so long ago, but when I left Loyola Chicago for NC State in season 25, I went back to check in on them and there was a conversation on the coaches' corner about how much the other guys were waiting for my recruits to leave... that was before you could write on other conferences' chat boards, so I couldn't even gloat! Adrian Kondo, Henry Vickers, Michael Hagedorn, and Frankie Hubbard were the men.

David Almaraz from my days at Rhode Island in Naismith. I thought he would become my first player to ever be drafted. He not only put up numbers, he seemed to be Mr Clutch. He was almost night after night blocking shots, or hitting key buckets at crunch time. He is really the one and only player I can say has made an impression enough on me, to remember his name.

James Bluhm. 4 year starter at tiny Elon College in IBA, S8-11. Still school record holder in scoring and rebounds. Led us to 4 Conference Championships and 3 NT bids. Only player I had drafted. #10 by San Antonio Spurs. Obviously to replace David Robinson.

I seem to leave a lot of guys behind who i really like...

At Trinity in Tark, i left behind:
Troy Samayoa - #1 on Trinity's list with 2198 points. I have no idea how bigsky did this, but he turned this defensive specialist into a 2200 point scorer and national player of the year
George Coombs - #2 on Trinity's list with 1993 points. A great 3&D guard

At Lousiana in Allen, I left behind:
Michael Carini - scored 2212 points on really efficient shooting
