I've looked and found varying opinions. I'm recruiting for my D2 team. Center.

I've got several options. But my two fave are going to end up with similar Defense and LP but widely varied other keys.

50/20 ATH/SPD 90/90 REB/BLK
65/35 ATH/SPD 70/70 REB/BLK

Which will be the better D2 C?

I would expect the latter. I think REB/BLK are highly overrated.

I really like ATH, so I would go with #2 - and I think there would - on average - be a smidge less recruiting competition for him - because the REB and BK numbers will attract folks to the other guy

What are the LP and BH ratings? That speed helps a little bit for a scorer, but not very much if he's just a REB/DEF guy. If they project as offensive weapons, I'd definitely lean towards the 2nd guy. If the job is going to be rebounding and defense, I'd look at that as pretty close to a tossup. I'd probably still favor #2, but it's so close it would depend heavily on location, preferences, competition, etc.

I think I'm pretty much a lock for both. Fighting a D1 SIMAI at very low for one and a D3 human at very low for another.

BH is 41 to 1 for #2. LP should be in the 70s for both by the time I need them to play. FB offense. #1 has a 69/44 WE advantage. I'm probably underestimating SPD for #1. Currently blue 12 but I was lowballing in case I got one of those "increase 1 point, turn black" players.

I have a 3rd option but his WE is 26 and his LP is black 50. I just don't think he's gonna cut it.

And I'm also a dumbass. ATH is practically the same. It's the speed that's the big difference.

Even if his speed turns black immediately he should still show an improvement of 19-20. Turning from blue to black means he would be at the absolute max range for black. There is no situation where a player changes from blue to black and then only improves a total of 8. I would set a conservative estimate for his speed at 32.

My wording is apparently terrible. I don't need him his FR year. May RS. I'm estimating him at 20 for his second season when he'll be my starter. I have 2 JR centers.

Interesting... I would have gone with the former, as I tend to think block is underrated for big men - but if I were you, I'd go with the opinion of the guy with 22 championships.

I disagree on Reb/Blk being overrated, but Ath/Spd will always trump those. 20 point difference in Reb and Blk is easily made up for with the extra Ath and Spd imo. I'd go #2

If you need him to score, take the guy with 65 ATH and 40 BH. If you want pure defense take the 90/90 REB/BLK. guy

My 2nd highest valued attribute in a player is ATH SPD depending on position. highest valued is DEF, with that in mind I'd go with guy 2. ATH effects nearly every attribute. TrentonJoe however makes a good point about guy 1 with pure defense.

I would take player #2 because the athleticism and speed allows you to play him at the PF or C positions. Player #1 is strictly going to be stuck playing the Center spot in man 2 man.

I like my man 2 man defenses to be flexible and have players that can swing to different positions as needed.
