I've cut multiple players I've recruited from D2 and D1 without any loyalty or reputation effects. This tells you two things: 1, you can release players without fear, and 2, I make poor recruiting decisions.

OK, due to the "unfair" recruiting process where I can lose a 57/43 battle or simply be curbstomped by a D1 program late in the process, I'm short a big man.

I think I'm fine to make the NT and move up next season by doing nothing but I have a big man on the hook. I'd have to release a guy I recruited. Bad idea? I've seen no negative effects doing it at WCSU but I also have no intention of leaving.
Ive released guys Ive recruited before with no penalty. If you make the NT that should be all that matters to finally get the D1 jobs...

I mean, does it say you are "meeting expectations" or "exceeding expectations"?
Exceeding

I think you are perfectly fine then...

I didn't have to decide. D1 school snapped him up at 5 pm cycle. Just as well. I'm looking forward to playing FB/M2M with 3 big men. Could lead to some interesting line-up choices.

Back to this. I run FB/M2M. My 3 big men have stamina of 71-72-77 cuz they're lazyass bastards who got out of shape eating donuts and playing video games in the off-season. I'm guessing that's not enough to run a C/PF rotation with only them and the hopes of "fairly fresh". Correct?

Nope, not with FB. I've done similar with Triangle / M2M playing slowdown all season, and it (mostly) worked, but you're going to need a 4th guy at the backup PF position.

Thanks. I planned to use my 3 bigs in the 1st 3 slots on the depth chart at C/PF and add my best REB SF to the 4th slot at PF. That's the right way to do it, correct?

Same.

Depends on how good a rebounder your best REB SF is. When I had a 45 REB SF at D2, I put him 2nd or 3rd on my PF slots, depending on the matchup, because he could dominate opponent big men in other areas (SPD, PER, BH). I'd lose the rebounding battle most games, but gain more in other areas.

But if I had a backup SF who was at, say, 30 REB or worse, yeah, I'd feel like I have to put him 4th behind all three true big men.

I have a couple of options.

ATH/SPD/REB/DEF
67-51-52-74
74-56-41-78

The one who doesn't start at SF will back-up at PF and SF.

I would start the 74 ATH guy at SF.

I agree. An 11-pt difference in REB is huge for your 4th big man, and the second player is tailor-made for SF.

74 ATH isn't much of a scorer. 56/29 LP/PER as compared to 70/50. I mostly signed him to play D. But, truth is, I don't think I really need either to score.

Got 72 minutes from my 3 big men.

OK, one more question. I made the tourney as 4 seed(maybe a 3 but I'm not sure and don't care to check).

My assumption is I can move up. I've got scouting money left. Should I use it to scout more guys for the next user? I know it will be there for him but would he still get more if I ran it down to zero?
