High school 2.0 GPA Topic

How do you handle SH minutes for a 2.0 GPA? No experience with it.

I’d slap 6 SH minutes and adjust at the first email accordingly

Bump.

Hoping for some more insight on how much trouble it is to keep this 2.0 HS GPA guy eligible.

Thanksin advance.

No trouble at all, it takes a couple more SH minutes and his overall growth will be slower, but not crazy. It will depend on his WE in combination. The recent developer FAQ gives a little insight:

Q: How much does listed high school GPA and/or work ethic impact OFF/DEF IQ growth?
A: A player with a 4.0 GPA will have a multiplier roughly 14% higher than a player with a 3.0 GPA. A player with 100 work ethic will have a multiplier roughly 19% higher than a player with 50 work ethic. These factors are multiplicative, and there are other factors as well, so it is difficult to give a hard number on the impact these factors have.

Way I have done it in the past is if an incoming freshmen has a 3.0 or higher, I've done maybe 2/4 SH points at most. If they are a 2.8, I've done 6. GPA of 2.6 I've done 8 and then anything 2.4 or lower I have done 10. Then adjust it as the season goes along.

I think you generally need 8-9 minutes, if not 10, for a guy with a 2.0 GPA. 6 is a really aggressive starting point. Depends, to some extent, how much it would hurt your team if he did become academically ineligible.

Thanks gentlemen

I give everyone zero, even the 2.0 guys. When I get the yellow line message, I'd add 7 minutes.

Now that is a strategy I never considered.
May try that!

Oh that could be a good strategy, might have to try it out
