Regular Season Awards

Coach of the year:  tarvolon
Tarv guided his squad to a 14-2 conference record which was 11 more wins than just two seasons ago.    The roster was so deep that a 100 PER player (Gillispie) rode the bench.  Despite ample offensive firepower,  Concord's strength is it's defense.   Those that whine in the forums that the Zone defense is under-powered haven't played in the WVIAC.    The balloting was close with favre but,  in the end, the head to head win at Shepherd was the deciding factor.    This is tavolon's 1st Human COY award.

Player of the year : Stephen Vergara
Vergara led Concord to a 14-2 conference record while averaging 22.6 ppg (6 ppg more than the next best player).   His best game in conference was a 31 point effort against Ohio Valley where he single handedly brought his team back from 6 points down late to win.   Stephen assumed most of the workload this season for Concord and his efficiency suffered a bit with his shooting % dropping to 42%.   However,  he maintained a 41% average from beyond the arc.   At W. VA St. we have nicknamed him Viagra due to the stiff competition.  Stephen is a SR.

Congrats to both!
