NOTE: Important message regarding the contest in which we are giving away 5 FREE HBD SEASONS appears in the second panel of this thread. Don't miss it!

We are a vibrant world that has, unexpectedly, run into the bad luck of a lot of owners moving on at the same time. No world scandals. No overt drama. Just guys leaving for personal reasons.

We have a lot of fascinating teams available below. One is probably right for you. Take a moment to look them over. I know you will find the type of team to match your personality.

We have just added to our prize package. We are giving away  four 5  FREE HBD SEASONS as an incentive for you to join. Details in the second panel below.

If you are interested in any of these teams please contact our Commissioner by clicking his link below:

American League

Pittsburgh     (82-80)     (#18 pick)     This team features a stud 2B in $21.5M IFA R.J. Chavez and a couple of top quality pitchers in Francisco "Above The Line" Mendoza and Phil Collins doing lead vocals in the bullpen. About $83M committed to salary, so plenty of room to work. Before last season's dip to 3rd this proud franchise reeled off 14 consecutive division titles, including two WS wins in that stretch. If you go for pedigree . . . this is the team for you.

Burlington     (77-85)     (#13 pick)     This franchise has never won it all and is looking for the right "Moses" to lead them to "The Promised Land." With a ML payroll of close to $30M Burlington is pretty close to a clean slate for a new owner to create his own masterpiece in just a few seasons.

Jackson     (76-86)     (#11 pick)     Another franchise without a WS crown but with plenty of playoff experience. Payroll comes in around $22M. This team is another you can mold in your own image.    Taken by dlmose

Florida       (55-107)     ((#2 pick)     $30M commitment. Almost all of that concentrated on 3 quality pitchers: Emi DeSoto, Gerardo Avila and A.J. Wallace would be proud additions on any squad. Add the #2 pick and you need to grab this one yesterday!     Taken gregor199

San Francisco     (76-86)     (#12 pick)     D'Angelo Mijares leads the way on this team. ML commitment around $70M. Some nice pieces.     Taken by ericanville

New York     (92-70)     (#24 pick)     This team is led by former #1 draft pick Cy Daniels and $17M IFA Livan Molina. With a string of 7 second place finishes--5 of those wild card playoff entries--this club has a winning pedigree. New York could go either way. Add a couple quality FAs to push them to the next level OR begin trading off its strongest players for prospects and a complete rebuild. The choice is yours and it's an intriguing one.

San Jose     (96-66)     (#28 pick)     After 4 straight playoff appearances San Jose is very much a team on the rise. Anchored by a rotation of Alex Tavarez, Dallas Ellsbury, and Geronimo Castro this staff is as good as any in Banks. With a payroll commitment of around $28M this team could be scary good with the right owner at its helm.     Taken by Jon44

National League

Tacoma     (84-78)     (#19 pick)     Youngsters Eddie Roberts and Paul Cameron anchor this offense with sub-400k salaries. Payroll is around $20M. Lots of room for this team to grow, especially with quality sitting  on the farm like Pedro Vargas, Doc O'Donnell, Maglio DeLa Vega, Albert Ordaz, and Gary Satterwhite. The future is bright in Tacoma.    Taken

Dover     (80-82)     (#16 pick)     Benny Montanez, Cristoball  Almonte, Abraham Knepper and Edgemer Delgado all top this potent offense and all all sub-400k salaries. Down on the farm you have Douglas Creek and Emil Figueroa. Low salaries are the key to winning in HBD. This team starts you out ahead of the game. Payroll around $40M

Nashville     (99-63)     (#30 pick)     Nashville has made the NLCS the last 6 seasons--three of those trips resulted in WS rings. What more do you need to know. Ready to win now, bay-bee!

Charlotte     (80-82)     (#15 pick)     Charlotte features a strong infield in Pasqual Diaz, Amos Traschel and Ricky Riley. To compliment this trio we find Cedrick Baker and Jack Van Hekken down on the farm. Committed salary comes in just a bit under $40M.     Taken by jimt4120

Memphis     46-116     (#1 pick)     When you finish last the team usually has a lot of dreck and quite a few high priced bums. Memphis does not fit that mold. There are no superstars on the ML roster. On the other hand the highest contract is 500k for a salary commitment of between $4-5M. If all you got in Memphis were the payroll and the #1 pick that would be enough for most owners to grab this squad. But their farm pipeline is loaded with quality: #1 pick Steve McNamara, $19.3M IFA Ivan Valdiva, #3 pick Achilles Myers, #23 pick Jim Abernathy . Memphis is a dream rebuild for some lucky owner.      Taken by stonewalter

St. Louis     (90-72)     (#21 pick)     Coming off two first place divisional finishes St. Louis is ready to compete now. Some of their stars include Cap Henley, Tony Singleton and Ted Young. Down on the farm they are looking forward to the talents of Jose Henriquez and Scott Houston. Only around $42M committed to this season. A nice, low total for a team looking to add 2-3 major players!

Seattle     (80-82)     (#17 pick)     This team could go either way. Add FAs to contend or rebuild. Some nice pieces in Steve Christensen, Donald Hujimoto, D'Angelo Pineda, and Cookie Forrest. More down in the minors in Jim Glanville, Jon Everhart, and Eduardo Maranon.

Arizona      (55-107)     (#3 pick)     Payroll comes in around $82M.   Some strong offense is coming from Lariel Mercedes and Paul Fonda. This once-proud franchise had a string of 11 division winners with a couple of World Series victories thrown in for good measure. Requires an owner looking for a challenge.

Colorado Springs     (67-95)     Not much in the majors for this franchise but Norm Henry and a bunch of castoffs from Gilligan's Island. The spotlight here is on a farm system loaded with talent from top to bottom in Frank Lee, Marty Hendrix, Corey Keisler, Alexi Soto, Xander Arenado, Ajax Spivey and many more upper crust residents from the television hit Dynasty. These kids are worth investing in!
