As I write this, the Season 15 World Series stands at 2 games to 1 in favor of the Charlotte franchise. Right now, we only know of one owner who will not be back in Season 16, and we hope you will consider joining us for a quick fill!

The Private World Rules are the following:

1) A Minimum Win Requirement of 50 per season and three season total of 180 has been adopted. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the following:

First offense of 50 wins per season rule = $10M maximum limit in Prospect Budget, Second offense = automatic removal Violation of the 180-for-3 rule will result in automatic removal

2) All Minors Must Be Properly Maintained according the Fair Play Guidelines. If an owner is found to be in flagrant violation of the spirit of the rules, a warning is given with a time frame to correct (either 48 or 72 hours, pending world approval). At the end of this time period, if the Veteran’s Committee does not feel the proper effort was made then a Vet Committee Expulsion Vote occurs. This format will also apply to ML pitching staffs.

3) Communications in World Chat must remain civil. The Vet Committee has the right to impose MWR sanctions on the violating owner. Once the Committee has reached consensus on the appropriate sanction, the violating owner has the choice to accept the sanctions and remain or depart at the end of the season.

4) An Owner’s Hall of Fame will be established and made public via the League Blog. The induction criteria are as follows: 15+ seasons in ATH, an ATH winning percentage of .530 or better, 6+ division titles and 2+ World Series Rings. Once an owner is inducted, they cannot be “uninducted” even if their lifetime winning percentage falls below the threshold.

Only one owner per season may be inducted. If multiple owners qualify in the same season, then the owner with the better winning percentage in ATH goes in first. Should more than two qualify in the same season, the order will be determined by winning percentage in order from highest to lowest. To add a new world rule and/or change an existing world rule, the proposal must be submitted to the commissioner with a minimum of three co-sponsors (ie the owner who generates the idea plus two more.) In order for a proposal to be adopted, 17 current owners must vote in favor within 7 days of the called vote.

The following teams are going to be available:
Former Louisville
S15 Record: 76-86

This franchise has been managed by just two owners over the first fifteen seasons, and has a trio of very talented players leading the current ML roster: Marv Sisk, Kenneth Rocker, Boomer McCartney.

Former Pittsburgh
S15 Record: 90-72

This is a team that has been .500 or better every season since Season 10. Next year’s edition is led by Gerrit Balfour, Adam Allen and Bubba Borbon.

Former Pawtucket
S15 Record: 53-109

This rebuilding franchise is currently led by Danys Moraga, Hideo Sakamoto and Maikel Zorilla. A steady hand and a vision will be a welcome addition to this franchise.

Former Huntington
S15 Record: 62-100

Deven Rosado, Brett Thurman and Rich Decker headline the ML roster of a team in transition due to having back to back relatively new owners.

Former Boise
S15 Record: 98-64

This team is built to win now and has had a winning record each season since Season 5. They have also had back-to-back playoff appearances and will be led by Kolten Machado, Frank Boyle and Wandy Garza.

Former Tokyo
S15 Record: 39-123

This team is better than the record shows, but is definitely still in rebuild mode. Pedro Mangual, Endy Okajima and Matty Segui headline the ML roster.

Former Seoul
S15 Record: 73-89

The only reason this team is open is because the previous owner "had some unexpected home repairs pop up" and needed to "tighten the belt to cover that." The top three guys on the roster right now are Albert Moya, Dariel Hynes and Tommy Herndon.

I joined this league last season. It's a good league and a really good commissioner. The league hasn't had a repeat world series champion in several seasons. So it's a competitive league, unlike some leagues you join and it takes several seasons to start to see improvement because of two or three dominant franchises. It's a young league, going into it's 16th season and no one has managed to dominate so far. Give us a try!
