Ruth, Season 68 (1 spot open) Topic

Ladies and Gentleman, one of the two original HBD leagues has rolled over, with openings for the winners, the tinkerers and the rebuilders. This may be the last public league in HBD, and needs owners like you to help it keep it's tradition alive!

Over the last few years, Ruth has been lower drama, although I admit there is still an occasional blow up every few seasons, it's a place where you can come, manage and enjoy yourself. Check out the teams below, and join today to be a part of the original!

AL West, #1 overall pick

That’s right- here’s a chance to open your rebuild with the #1 overall pick! This team has simply seen a lot of turnover, but the cupboard isn’t fully bare: Rex Heyward leads the “Now” category, while Orel Kiermaier - CF and Osvaldo Sanchez highlight the next wave. Fill in a few gaps with smart draft picks, and you have a serious team in a couple of seasons!

NL East, 3rd overall pick

This team is the orphan of Ruth. Lots of owner turnover has left a team with lots of high picks in the system, but not enough consistency to build a team. Former #6 pick Sammy Coke is the poster boy of the future, Anibal Gonzales is the trade bait or veteran star depending on how you take this group, and the under 30 talent is staggering (4 above 75 overall in the majors, 1 22 year old above 75 in AAA, and the #2 overall pick of Hub Lehr on the horizon. With the right owner, this team can be scary almost right away, and contend for years to come.

NL East, 6th overall pick

Not the deepest system, but a few bright spots to go with the high pick- McKay Noriega , and Zech Keuchel jump off the page in the minors, but this franchise needs a long term plan from ML to RL to really turn it around. With those two, a #6 pick and lots of serviceable ML/AAAA type guys, this team can turn it with the right person in charge.

NL South, #12 pick

This is Adam Allen’s franchise , but the right owner is needed to take it from the .470’s to the top.

NL North, #13 pick

A middle of the road team that will go as far as Archie Jones’s right arm will go. Morgan Boxberger is your star of the future core, and the minors have four players at 75+ current overalls. A little sorting and a couple of moves away from a perennial division winner.

NL South, 28th pick, 101 win team

6 of the last 7 division titles were won by this team. I’d take the time to type out their stars… but I think the team will be gone first off this list.

NL West, #31 overall pick, 105 wins.

Want big shoes to fill? Schmidt22 led this team for 21 seasons, and it’s been given lots of love. Just check them out and you’ll see what’s there.

AL East, #32 pick

This is simply put, the best team in the regular season last year- and with a playoff flop needs a new manager! Paul Lee Wayne Bonilla and frankly too many studs to list here are on this team. This is a plug and playoff team for anyone to jump in with!
