I am trying to begin a new progressive draft league starting with 1959 season.  It will have 16 teams.  You can choose a park from 59 season.
There will be no clones, dh, trades, ww or aaa.  It has random draft alignment and is a snake draft.  Beginning in 22nd round 2 players are chosen to save time.  Season 2 will utilize 1960 players. You can keep 15 players for 1960 season. The draft will be random for all owners and again will be a snake draft. My reasoning is that every game should be competitive and losing should not be rewarded by higher pick.  Zero trades are allowed.  You drafted the team so now you need to find way to win a division and title.

Drafting Times will be scheduled daily to make it easier drafting.


It is a live draft from 12:00 pm et to 11:00pm et.  You have 30 minutes to make selection.  After 16 teams are entered wis will set up a random draft order.  We will list
the first two rounds on forum thread before draft starts but after order is done randomly.  Then when live draft officially begins you enter the first two protected picks listed in forum.  Beginning with third round everything is done on live board.

Draft will be held 2 days after last team has entered/committed to live draft.  The date listed is irrelevant.

You will alerted by sitemail and email when it is your turn.

This league does not give advantage to tankers.  It is also a league where trades cannot hurt you.  You build a team and win.  Then you add to your team the following year by random draft.  Every year should be a test for owners.  One great year of drafting will not create a dynasty.  Poor seasons should not scare away owners.

I am also a progressive newbie.  I wamted something new for me. Welcome.

Why so few keepers,

Could you clarify what you mean by "live draft"? - it is a draft like nearly all progressives have  - in the forum with everyone having a randomly assigned draft order slot?

OR -ff by live you mean everyone in different time zones has to be online at the same time I think that is unwieldy at best for those in the US and living overseas

I would have to decline. Otherwise the attempt to do something original and the historical period covered are interesting enough for me to want to join.
