where's he going to get depth from?  wave a magic wand and make avery bradley suddenly an NBA player and/or desirable trade asset?

the problem goes beyond depth.  KG is washed up.  I can see Pierce rebounding but KG can't jump bro, our drtg is 21st in the league consequently.  Hard to see us doing anything that overcomes his dropoff.

Hell the Celtics are going to be a lottery team without making any trades at this rate.  Might as well trade them for a bucket of basketballs as that would be better than what is out there.

Apparently the Lakers and Pacers have interest in Pierce.  Pacers are under the cap so perhaps the Celtics can just unload Pierce for someone like George Hill or a 1st.  Lakers are probably thinking a salary dump type trade something like Pierce for Walton, Blake, Barnes, and Ebanks (maybe a 1st).  Probably then just send them O'Neal and perhaps Bradley in separate trades using the Odom trade exception (since the Celtics would have too many players anyway and the Lakers could use some depth).

the Lakers are not interested in Pierce that was some idiot Celtics beat writer and he was talking about Pau in trade but if AInge would give Pierce up for the dreck you detailed Mitch would do that deal in a heart beat

and in other news Ainge would have to be an idiot to unload Pierce for someone like George Hill or a 1st round pick (unless it was a high lottery pick)

Yeah, Moranis's specialty is suggesting retarded trades.  He can be safely disregarded.

Anyway, nice to see our D show up today.  Looks like Pierce is on the rebound too.  Nothing can change the fact that KG can't jump anymore, and we have like 6 legit NBA players on the roster, but at least it looks like we can stop worrying about being lottery bound for the moment.
