Lucas used to be a top7 pick in most years as well. But the last change (seemingly some years ago) kind of pushed him down a bit in favor of others (yet to be drafted).

gtak selects king james... i think no. 7 is about right for this dude. packs a whallop. brings the kitchen sink. nothing he can't do, ala, jordan. good price (right at 9m). nice pick, g.

Pumped to roll w/Lew Alcindor. Was looking at some other guys real seriously, but decided to start w/a big man for this go around.

looking at the draft board, looks to me that players 12-21 are actually stronger than the players from 1-11. Unseld went a bit high.

never seen bird get drafted at no. 19 before (in any draft) and hakeem at 20. when's the last time you saw marion go at no. 10? but he's on an uva team, so... not a mistake.

gotta love dwight howard at no. 21. nice pick, brad

not in the odl, but having just checked the draft board, holy cow @ Dwight Howard @ 21. That's a great place to get him! Wow! Bird at 19 is tight, too.

yea i feel like the dream is a steal at 20....the one problem i have is his salary tho(im gonna use the 11 mil one)

after i made the pick i was excited at the prospect of teaming him with one of the elite pfs that will be available(i think you all know who they are) when i pick again

but that would put me well over 20 mil after just 2 picks and make it tough to afford enough quality minutes on the perimeter....so its gonna be a tough decision

ltb....if monkee took hakeem i was taking dwight...nice pick

I was between Lew Alcindor and Bird. Can't believe the Legend fell all the way to 19.

Magic at 17 is absurd too.

I was between Robinson, Olajuwon and Howard with the 13th pick. Could have been a half dozen slots lower in the draft and been just as happy.

Thanks, all...I was hoping Bird would keep falling, and was surprised Hakeem didn't go several picks earlier, but I was happy to start out with Howard in a $42 mil league. (And am still surprised at some the players still available.)

Howard's efficient inside scoring and rebounding make for a nice building block. Now I just need to not **** up the next couple picks.

Holy hell I actually got Larry Legend that late! Sweet!
11/16/2009 7:19 PM
lol... no worries LTB. You make your team (in this league) in rounds 4 and 5. You can fix the errors of rounds 2 and 3 (in rounds 4-5)..... but you can't fix the errors of rounds 4 and 5 in the 6th (slash 7th) rounds.

Like Barkley at 12. Decided against another low scoring big man this year. Plus I always seem to be scrambling for a SF in round 5... only to take a SG type to play there and get rolled on the glass. This year I'll short myself else where instead!

barkley is absurdly good in $42 million leagues.

Well geez..........as long as I've played in this I can say I've never drafted Nash or Willis. Always looked at Willis, but he never seemed to fall to me. I was never a fan of Nash in the SIM, but lately as more people have been using him, he seems to be a hot player. I like for the saleries of my starters to avg. 7mil. This puts me at about 35mil and assures me I'll have a pretty good bench with 7mil . Willis is almost 8 mil but Nash is only 6 so that keeps me at just under 14 for 2 picks. I also get a small man and big man. Shouldn't be in desperate need of assists or rebounds later.
