" So he went 0-1 in the first inning. You tell me what that tells you. "

I have a question. What DO my nuts smell like? I'm thinking sort of a musky, manly odor but I've never actually smelled my nuts. I'm just not that limber.

He reached on an error. That tells me he WASNT OUT.

He hit a ground ball to an infielder. Took an 0-1 on the AB.

According to your expert, in-depth analysis, in his stats for the year (or the series) it looks just like an out. All outs are the same in your big picture view of baseball. A strikeout is just a different kind of out.

This is YOUR thought process, and what YOU'VE been arguing, dumbass.
Was he out?
Are you going to answer this question I asked you first?

If you're looking at a boxscore, do you know this?

Is there a statsheet that tracks "reached on error"?

You were able to tell that just from the stat ("0-1")?

Are you the Amazing Kreskin?

He was safe.

I watched the game. I don't feel that stats tell me everything I need to know. That would be retarded.

If he was out, and Springer ended up at third, was it the same as a strikeout? Or would a strikeout still have had Springer at second?

Moron.

Oh ok cool. He wasn’t out.

Nice attempt to change the subject.

I find it amazing that a guy can hit a ground ball to an infielder, have the result of the AB show as 0-1 in the boxscore, yet the result is significantly different from a strikeout.

Weird isn't it? That something that looks like an out according to a boxscore, actually isn't? And that a ground ball with a runner on base isn't always "disastrous"?

Again, it’s different because he wasn’t out.

“Ball in play” not the same thing as “out in play”

Suck my dick. Whether or not it’s in the boxscore is irrelevant. It’s still tracked.

So, you need more than stats to tell you what happened?
