Charles Barkley

Sorry, that lag is unlike me. In my defense, it was my first father's day as a father...
congratulations! Hopefully the beginning of many happy and memorable firsts

Just analyzing this trade, it is a bad one by cjok. I wish he would have offered it to me, I would have taken it as well. But he has more history trading with ben than he does with me.

cjok's problem is going to be now that he has good front court defense and plenty of rebounding. But he now somehow needs to build an entire back court with usage, threes (made more desperate by the Rodman/KAJ pairing) and defense despite only having one pick between now and the 6th round. He didn't learn his lesson from last season. The year he didn't go crazy with the trading, he won the championship. These other seasons, he goes nuts with trading and does horribly.

In an odd turn, this is very similar to a trade they attempted the year cjok won that was vetoed. That was 2, 3, 6, 6 for 1, 5, 6, 6.

Either way, I think it is a fair enough deal. If anyone gets outrage over it, they need to check themselves. I just think cjok should reconsider why he keeps thinking he needs to make these drastic trades with ben to be successful.

Meanwhile, with how deep big men and swing men are in this format for the first few rounds, I'd expect ben's team to end up pretty formidable as long as he gets enough PG play.

Well, I would have also done that trade and put out a request to trade down. Does that make me evil?

I think ben knows cjok won't rest until he makes some over the top trade and decided to capitalize on that. That's smart, not evil.

Had I been smarter, I could have just gone direct to cjok.

Yeah, I know. I am being too serious this morning. The competitive part of my personality is dramatically more serious than the other parts.

This was a joke, obviously, but I'd set the line at 4:30AM Tuesday morning. Not a joke.. he should have never even been considered for the wait list, in all seriousness.

Looking to trade down my 1st (#17). Site mail me if interested.

A 1st & 6th for a 2nd & 3rd is a fair trade.. throwing in the 2nd 6th for a 5th, actually makes a significant difference.. I'm not saying the trade isn't 'fair', but it's lopsided in my opinion. I would only consider doing that for a top 7(ish) pick.
