"Funny" how during trade discussions several owners tried to tell me the 6th round was just for filling holes and I'd never have a player I wanted taken by somebody else. I have and apparently so have others. Were people trying to take advantage of the guy who hasn't done this in a while? Nah, nobody here would ever do that.

Pretty sure I was one of those owners and I don’t think that is precisely what I said. Filling holes yes, never having anyone you wanted taken is false. But you really shouldn’t be relying on anyone at that stage. There are always multiple versions of the same dude at this stage.

And I don’t think I’ve ever tried to flex on a new owner in my life.

FWIW, I don't recall you saying it, but I'm sure those who did know who they are. I'll also assume they believe it, and this was just an unlucky twist.

Looking back at past Drafts, Jon Barry usually gets picked, so it may have been a bit unrealistic to think he'd last until the 2nd half of Round 6.
