Thanks, Rob I loved this and a few things (comments and questions):

1. The monocle made me laugh harder than it probably should have.
2. I have the idea that I could select SF guarding for Jokic since what is the difference between his 32-38 at PF and C and his 20-28 at SF if it allows Brand to move more freely amongst the three positions? The opportunity cost of Brand using his defense is greater than the loss of Jokic's useless defense.
3. PatBev just helps to shore up PG minutes, and I know how much you hate Rondo. I don't know if I made that pick to antagonize you or cover my PG minutes as well. HAHA
4. When McAdoo fell in my lap I had to make some changes for sure. I was planning on going PG there, but I wasn't as disciplined as I should have been but his usage is going to help with my plans.
5. I stated prior that I went Jokic/Drummond (likely wrongheaded) because of how dreadful I was the prior season on the glass.

I giggled super hard with the monocle as well. At one point I put a joint on Jcred every time he said he was “high” on someone but then thought as a middle aged dad he might get offended so I dropped it. It was cracking me up as well.

Wonderful work gentlemen. Thank you all for taking the time, and Rob for putting it all together.

Thanks for all the great insights, and big thanks to Rob for making it happen!

Thanks for the awesome podcast level discussion. i love listening to this stuff. Just wanted to answer a few questions on my squad that was brought up:

I'm very much mad sceintisting this. Shaq's backup's usage doesn't matter. My plan early on was to grab Boozer or Yao Ming (because he always goes really late) or Bellamy or one of like 8 other guys to be his backup and they all went so much earlier than expected. I'm attributing a lot of off the wall picks to new or returning from a break coaches. Once I saw that happening, I shifted gears and decided that I had to have five seasons of tier 3+ usage at PG and either SG or SF (depending on if I'm using a Mikal season or not). This was the biggest downfall of the squad for me, as I really needed to grab a 3rd point guard, being stuck with De'Aaron for 2 of the PG seasons really, really sucks (and I just have no alternative). I actually have never had this much total usage in Savage before, so it's not really a worry. Also, Shaq plays a **** ton of minutes.

Christian Wood actually has two 96% PG seasons, so yes, he can guard PG those two seasons without suffering an issue. He's playing majority small forward the other two seasons (and the 200 minute one), though he does slide over to SG for like 400 minutes in one season (which he is 92% PG, so I'll accept that for 400 minutes), and that season he's covered by 90 defense MIkal. Mad Scientist ****.

Jarrett Allen has a couple of seasons where he can be covered by SF, though it's still not idea. Still, he's not some 30 or 40 defense guy. I'll take the wart as he's got really absurd per minute value overall.

Noah might actually be my saving grace. My metrics don't really love him but he allows me to get higher overall team metrics by filling up holes. His flexibility was the key for making this work.

I thought the Bridges teams were going to be ***, but I tried a couple of alternate seasons to Shaq & Noah (one each) that are lower per minute value but gave me a higher overall value because of more minutes and again, allowed more flexibility in team construction.

I'm still not crazy about this squad, but it actually did get better with more work, and I'm not entirely done tweaking, but I'm close. I have the entire day Sunday free from obligations, so they'll get in at that point. I actually have too low of threes for a Shaq team, and that -- combined with lower than ideal assists -- will likely be a playoff downfall, should I reach them.

Currently I don't feel like I have any trash teams, but I don't really feel like I have any contender except for maybe one.

good stuff guys. thanks for all the work Rob.
as far as my team goes... I was happy to get Barkley at 21. Rodman was a mistake, and it went downhill from there. He wasn't a mistake from the perspective of the hustle board, but he was from an offensive standpoint. I like to draft offensive minded players for the first 3 rounds so I don't have to scramble for quality usage later. Rodman was a departure from how I like to draft. So I spent the next several rounds trying to draft usage to make up for Rodman's lack thereof. Having been out of Savage for a while, I was looking at where people were drafted last Savage as much as I was relying on my own numbers. Bad idea. I took several guys, Nash included, way before I had them ranked simply based on where they fell in the last Savage. I never look at TO% or Fouls when I draft, so that doesn't bother me that much....although there certainly is a tipping point at which too much is too much. The lack of defense does bother me. My teams are usually characterized by rebounding and defense, and I lost my identity with this draft, abandoned my usual draft strategy, and took guys I never draft way out of position. Moreover, when I assembled the teams, I didn't stack to try to win 2 championships, I spread it out, so I'm pretty much screwed. I'll be very happy if these teams end up in the top 10. you could get $200 bucks for that Epcot poster on eBay.

Thanks for the recap/reviews on my team, ya’ll. I watched the whole thing up to that point, and will watch the rest later.
If you skip to just your team, you’re doing yourself a disservice. There’s tons of gems being dropped throughout.
If I had seen your team names ahead of time you'd have been my clear favorite to win it all!!!

Great video, fellas.

Trying to finalize my teams this afternoon. Not trying to hold things up.

Nice catch Pex. That was a gift from my wife early in covid. We flipped a spare bedroom and I cleared everything out for office work. She came in one day and said it looked like a room in a crack house and I needed to decorate and she ordered it for me due to my love of Epcot/Morocco. They had a limited run of several of those Disney posters, she was lucky to get one.

Vintage. Had an old France / Epcot poster many years ago. Not sure what happened to it.

I will probably not be in until Thursday, just to provide a timeline for last minute fiddlers.

Guess I’ll work on an alternate build then. If you see me pop out of the leagues, it’s due to this. I’ll be back in before this if so.

Same, I am not going to just leave my teams in there for everyone to look at and strategize against for four days while 20ks waits to put his team in.

It would be kind of nice if WIS actually hid your teams before the league starts, with maybe the LM being able to see rosters for compliance reasons.

It definitely seems like that was the intent with not making the team names clickable from league office, and they just left a loophole.
