The randomness is frustrating, but it's no accident that there are certain guys who do consistently well. Rob isn't lucky that he's won 4x. When this whole thing started, both Rob & I were awful. Ben wasn't very good either. Those guys figured it out and are always competitive. They're not just lucky. Yes, randomness exists, and luck is a factor, but there's absolutely things they do that makes them consistently good. It sucks that some of us haven't figured it out and don't appear like we're going to do so, but yeah.

Well, you are tied for the second most top 5s of all time and the second most top 10s of all time (despite taking two seasons off). It's hard to say you haven't "figured it out."

This is probably the weakest odds I've ever had in any conference finals set in which I've fielded a few teams. I have myself as barely even odds to even get a single team out. By my calculations, I am tied for the fourth highest remaining championship equity which is pretty poor considering I have three teams. There are still five teams in contention, and I'd say it is near even odds for the top three possible high scorers given their paths forward.

I’m a little confused how you can be 4th best odds. 36 points remain to gain from each team. Let’s say you flame out like you expect and your teams get 5 more wins. You’re at 341.

Obviously Ben and ragged can beat that.
dh can’t beat that
dbkc would need to win 2 titles
jcred would need to win 2 titles

I think Rob is saying 4th best championship equity, not 4th best odds to win the whole thing. I know Rob has it as a very close three person race for the top slot with dBKC and jcred as longshots.

My odds have Rob slightly favored with ragged right behind him and myself right behind him. Before the last round I had considered myself to be a fairly comfortable favorite, but having a 66 win team not even win a single playoff series was quite the blow.

Ahh I can’t read. Well no surprise another competitive league with Ben, ragged and Rob competing for first.

at this point I guess I’d just be happy to move up to 7th. A little disappointing I’m just not sure how easy it’s going to be for me to ever get higher.

yea i get that feeling sometimes too...just gotta keep giving yourself a chance by improving and hope to catch them slipping one time

Unfortunately or fortunately, I have strep for the next couple of days... I am drugged out and delirious but also non-stop tinkering... not sure if that is good or bad. Too bad we are short handed at work and the weather stinks.

That's rough man. I had covid last week in a very inconvenient week to have it at work.

I am pretty sure my kid must have had covid (tested negative). She was sick for like 6 weeks and neither of us ever caught anything. Got better for a week and then got this.

Little kids are disease factories man.

First of all to be clear I don’t fault anyone for tanking currently. With that said I really wish there was a tanking rule for this league.

I absolutely agree. I think that the rule from bowis should be adopted here as of next season. I hate using the tank strat in the playoffs but often see it as the best play. I wish it wasn't even on the table.

we can bring it to a vote before next season...always thought it was pretty lame

At least half the crowns have been won by coaches who didn’t do it. So can definitely win without resorting to it.
