The first few times i had looked at the prestige rankings vs. al's newdynasty list, i thought they had matched up nearly perfectly.

but i was just looking at the presitge ranks and noticed that the two lists have diverged a bit.

noteworthy is that Wheaton is #2 in the ND list and not in the top7 prestige.

also, washmo is not one of the top12 teams in the land, prestigewise? you know i hate to see that! although they look to be making a run at another title this year... unless they screw up or choke.

also note that 5 of the 7 A+ teams have some work to do if they want to get into the NT.

mcmurray and northland are A- prestige but i could not find them in al's top40.

heidlburg is al's #7 team, but earned only a B+ prestige (suggesting that they are not a top20 prestige team)

also A- in presitge is #17 rockford... somehow theygot lost in all the cuttting and pasting.

al's #20 plymouth st is also a B+. but things are not looking good there this season.

al's #21 Gfox is a B... but ready to climb.

as for old Oney... we are having an odd year.



7-3 in non con included two losses to really good teams and one loss to a PIT ish team.

beat two really good teams and a few other decent teams.

And rpi was 30ish probably as it shoudl have been.



But the sunyack has fallen on hard times and I might end up with 10 games vs. 300+rpi teams. Already that has made my rpi plummet to around 60.

There are a couple of good teams. But still, it really looks like i would have to go 16-0 (23-3) to be in good position for an at-large. Even then i'm not sure I would make it.



There are two or three teams that could denifitely beat us and they are in our division so that means at least 6 scary games. And if we lose any of them, then we have to try to negotieate the minefield that is our CT.



and so.... our string of 22 straight NT's is in real jeopardy.

We also have a string of 13 straight years of advancing to round2 and that will definitely be in jeopardy as i do not see any scenario where we would be better than an 8 seed.

Interesting comparision. My list only goes back 5 years and looks at tournament history only. I wonder how far back the Prestige ratings go..and if they look at other factors...RPI, wins, etc.

just rediscovered this thread - my prestige jumped off the cliff going from A to B when I followed up a sweet16 with a PI 3rd round! I should be above B next season depending on how the NT gods treat me.



I might climb the dynasty list too, as a 1st round PIT KO 5 seasons ago gets washed from his record books and replaced with an NT appearance.
