Bah. I suggest you go back and analyze previous seasons - say, 4 to 8, or so - which was really the heyday for D2 in Wooden. Nothing important has really happened since then.

Shippensburg rules! I kept the dynasty going my two seasons there.

Good to see Wayne St (MI) make this list--with a little more luck in the postseason it'd be much higher.

The wooden D2 heyday actually prolly goes back as far as season 3. A lot of the teams that were dominant in seasons 2-5 are not even on this list. A lot of those coaches are now found at some of the better D1 schools. Not me, of course, but some coaching collegues. San Fran St, Ferris St, etc.

I see the Wayne State teams played each other this season. That's pretty cool!
I remember, a few years ago, when New Orleans Loyola had an invitational tourney. They invited 3 other Loyola schools to participate

With about a week to go in the regular season, several Dynasty programs appear to be rebuilding.
Of the 35 teams on the list, 20 will make the Dance (based solely on RPI), 1 more will make the PIT, and 15 will stay home.

W. New Mexico looks to make an appearnace after this year on the list.
5/31/2006 10:41 PM
awesome!
good to see CalPloypoo made the list.
How are they doing this year?
I hated to leave them but the lure of tark was too much.
6/6/2006 1:27 PM
ok. i see.
16 rpi, nice work, kuj, keep it up !
they really should make it easier to view teams in worlds you are not in. why would they not want that?

Yeah, W. New Mexico is going strong so far, maybe we can hop up far even if we can win some in the tournament. Our conference Great Northwest, with Sea Pac is real good. Probably the top D2 conference the last three, four years.

Pittsburgh-Johnstown has been a fun though somewhat underachieving school. Probably because I haven't paid all that much attention to it. It has a pretty good recruiting area and is in a very good/competitive conference.
I say this because this is going to be my last season there. If someone wants to start their own tradition in DII, P-Jtown should be seriously considered. They could do far far worse than grabbing this team.
