Rising with a bullet!  From #58 to #29 to #25

Thanks - I am hoping to have a strong team again this year, although I did lose 3 good players. But I had a stellar recruiting class last year. And I have the #1 Freshman in the conference from last year - a redshirt Thomas Reinhardt, who finished the year at 659. We'll see how it shakes out. How do you compile the ratings?
10/5/2011 11:17 PM
It's based on post-season play only. You have to qualify for either the NT or PIT in 4 of the last 5 seasons. The more current seasons are valued more.
10/6/2011 4:07 AM
Is it also based on how far you advance, and on what number seed you win or lose to? I wish there was one of these for every conference. You should suggest that to WIS - it would be a cool feature. Thanks for doing this!

Looking forward to the new rankings after making the final 4 this year, and for the second time in three years. Hopefully we'll move up from #25.

Nice! I think I am moving up to Penn State tonight, but it's nice to go out on a good note. If I get the job, Delta State should be available tomorrow.

I've been stuck in the 30's forever, the NT gods must hate me.

Thanks for keeping this up alblack!  Let me ask, have you posted the comparison method in full or is it proprietary?  Either way I'm glad to be getting near the top.

Sorry, I didn't see your post until today.

Other coaches have asked about the formula, wanting to use it in other worlds. I'm glad to share it with anyone who sitemails me.
