Yes, it's based on the 5 most recent seasons. Last season, Lehman had to count a year when they stayed home. But that was 6 seasons ago and is no longer included in the formula.

The So Cal keeps it's three in the top 25... and we have openings :)

Poor, poor Redlands ... perhaps one day I'll return to restore it to its former glory. In the meantime, nice to see the SoCal keep things up!

Al,

Wasn't it bad enough that you knocked me out of the tourney, now you drop me out of the top ten, too? How did I go from 9 to 11 when I was in the sweet 16?

Just as in RPI, the rankings are not a fixed number, but are in comparision to the other schools. You replaced a Sweet 16 with another Sweet 16 so your points stayed the same. But 3 other schools behind you gained points.

Also, remember that these are the creme de la creme, the very best 42 out of 384 teams. There's a lot of parity and the rankings are very, very close. For example, there was only one point separating 5th place from 9th.

Finally, you incurred a 2 point penalty for waiting so long to congratulate me for eliminating your team. Those two points would've place Mass. Liberal Arts in 4th place. It's a shame your team had to be penalized for your obstinance. LOL

I spent two days searching the pbp for the points I knew just had to be there! No way we could really go 14 minutes without a FG, could we?

Thanks for putting this together. I took over that Emerson team a few seasons ago. When I took them over they had 1 winning season in the past 10. The 2 seasons before I took them over they were sim coached. My 4th season they made the PI and the 3 seasons after I were all NT appearances with my players being a big part of those NT appearances.
This was my first team in HD and I still look back fondly at that team and my players. It was great to see them make #30 in the dynasty list.
Good luck to Emerson coaches current and future!

The Marietta Pioneers have definitely been a dynasty... We've won at least 20 games in all but one of the last seventeen seasons and made the NT every one of those years... The high point being the National Title in season 12, but we've gone at least the the Round of 32 all but two of those seasons... We got a #1 seed last year, but bowed out in a two point loss to a very good Brockport team that was very hot heading into the NT... I might be moving up to DII, but I've definitely enjoyed my time in the OAC coaching the Pioneers...
