Hanover defeated Defiance to win the conference tournament. Congrats, coach joker!
9 Heartland teams received post-season bids.
4 in the Dance...Hanover, Westminster, Defiance, and Mt. St. Joseph
5 in the PIT: Transylvania, Anderson, Philadelphia Biblical, Waynesburg, Bluffton
Surprises were that Thomas More, RPI 85 was overlooked for the PIT and Transylvania, RPI 35, missed the National Tournament.
Good luck, coaches! Heartland rules!!!!

you can probably thank me at Eureka for helping bump you, Al. I beat a lock myself to get in.

hey guys,
1) al, you got hosed, i feel bad for ya. does this indicate that losing record cant get into NT? or that there is just a huge negative for having a losig record and the rpi would need to be really good (under 30?) to overcome it?
2) woody, i wanted to play you next season but didnt hear back from you so had to schedule someone else.
3)congrats to the heartland as a whole for an amazing season

You definately got robbed. There is no way I should have gotten an at large bid with an 18-9 record, 61 RPI and losing 4 out of my last 5.
At least your conferencemate jokeitch gets a chance to embarass me to avenge you (not that it's any consolation).

An even bigger surprise, Hanover wins the CT and ends the season as the #1 RPI team, yet he gets a #2 seed and they place him in the same bracket as Westminster, who got the #1 seed! What's up with that?!

Today's the Game of the Year
#1 RPI Westminster vs. #2 RPI Hanover in the Elite Eight
Why are these 2 teams in the same region? They've been #1 and #2 in RPI almost all season. They're are the 2 toughest teams from the best conference. Would the NCAA ever put Duke and North Carolina in the same region???
Good luck, coaches@

Al, actually, Heartland is at $44,000 (11 NT games, and 11 PIT), and we will add at least $3000 more tonight. It's already over $3900 per team.

you guys should be ashamed.
if you had any dignity at all you would share some of your loot with a conference that is falling on hard times.
