Game 20: Milwaukee scores three times in the ninth to erase a 2-0 deficit, but Rich Gossage blows the save, allowing a run in the bottom half on a leadoff double, bad pickoff attempt, and sacrifice fly. Bill Madlock gives him a second chance, driving home a run in the 10th, and Gossage comes through, holding the Commandos off the board for a 4-3 Milwaukee win.
Game 21: Mike Smithson takes another beating and Washington's Dwight Gooden throws seven 1-hit innings, striking out 12, as the Commandos roll to a 12-1 victory.
